About Diacarbon Energy Inc.
Mission Statement
Diacarbon Energy is committed to applying practical and realistic technology to provide our community with carbon-neutral and carbon-negative products that benefit the planet. Founded in British Columbia, Canada, we are an all-Canadian company with a drive and commitment to solve the energy versus environment problem and ensure a sustainable future.
How We Started
Diacarbon Energy was Incorporated in 2009, and began as a agricultural research company investigating the effects of biochar in the soil. Early in our business development, we recognized the need for commercial scale pyrolysis technology, and obtained the exclusive North American license to an innovative, portable system. We then entered the Commercialization of Agricultural Technology competition hosted by the BC Innovation Council, and was awarded a $10000 voucher to prepare a business plan. We have since completed assembly of a 1.3-ton/hour biomass refinery and are eager to begin production of carbon neutral fuels and biochar soil amendments from biomass waste.
What We Do
Our company's objective is to produce renewable fuels from biomass, to provide waste solutions for pulp and paper, forest, and agriculture industries, and to make available portable biomass refinery technology. Initially, we will provide a service for biomass waste processing that will enable us to convert various feedstocks into biochar and pyrolysis oil for testing in agricultural and industrial applications. As our processing capacity increases with further unit installations, we will begin targeting conventional energy customers with our carbon-neutral, renewable biochar and oil. Ultimately, joint ventures and licensing opportunities will become available with select partners.
