Jerry Ericsson, MSc, PhD (Candidate)

President, CEO, and Director

Jerry Ericsson, co-founder of the Diacarbon Group, leads all strategic and corporate initiatives, including the technical development and construction of Diacarbon’s pilot reactor plant and commercial TBR Project. Jerry is a highly experienced industry specialist with over 17 years’ of experience in the forestry and agricultural industry. He graduated from UBC with a MSc in Plant Science and is a PhD candidate at SFU.

Jared L. Taylor, PhD, PChem

Vice President Of Research & Development

Jared spearheads the development and future research directions at Diacarbon for biocoal and biochar products derived from biomass sources. Prior to joining Diacarbon, Jared worked for Nobel Laureate Carl Wieman at UBC as part of the Carl Wieman Science Education Initiative. He possesses a strong history of research and development exploring novel carbon and non-carbon enhancements for fuel cell anodes.

Darren Blanch

Vice President of Business Development

Darren has played an active role in the development of Diacarbon since its inception. He helps lead the strategic direction of Diacarbon in addition to managing business development efforts and corporate operations. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University and his previous experience consists of working with several clean-tech companies in areas such as turnarounds/restructuring, financings, divestitures and management consulting.

Rick Cretain, P.Eng.

Project Manager

Rick is an engineering graduate from UBC who brings to the project a unique combination of expertise in engineering, process design, construction, consulting, start-up’s, project management and production management. His previous experience has primarily been within the forestry industry where he managed many successful projects and plants. Rick focuses his skill set on building and commissioning the first commercial demonstration TBR, in addition, he assists with the project development and implementation of upcoming projects.

Jodi Godwin, CA

Finance Manager/Controller

Jodi manages Diacarbon’s finances and develops the Company’s financial structure under direction of a part-time CFO. Jodi is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Northern British Columbia. She has 4 years of public practice experience servicing both public and private companies in a variety of capacities.
