Biochar lecture by Johannes Lehmann

For anyone who would like to hear a bit more about biochar from a leading expert in the field, there is an excellent video on YouTube of Johannes Lehmann from Cornell University giving a biochar presentation at Stanford University.   The talk does get quite technical and has a lot of data, but if you don’t mind wading through it you will find a lot of interesting information about biochar.

Lehmann Biochar Lecture

About the Author, Jared Taylor
Jared currently works for the Carl Wieman Science Education Initiative at the University of British Columbia where he studies learning in science. Surprisingly the job involves as much about management, negotiation, and psychology as it does about science (it can be a tough job to convince others to try novel ways of teaching). Before that he worked as a research scientist at Ballard Power Systems until returning to university to complete his PhD in Chemistry.

I like biochar it is a new twist on an ancient practice. Out of all the things man has done to the planet I think biochar is about the only nice one. Oh and this was made by ancient man not todays version of man. So I hope we can see the wisdom in marring together two words. They are Sustainable Biochar.
